ABP/Pillar Induction Announces Key Additions to Executive Management Team
Chicago, IL Oct. 1, 2007 – ABP/Pillar Induction Company has named Wayne W. Hanna as the General Manager of its US/NAFTA operations and Wei Baohua as the General Manager of China operations based in Shanghai. Mr. Hanna has the responsibility of managing all US-based operations and leading the marketing of heating products globally. Mr. Wei is responsible for managing the China operation which supports the China market and manufactures equipment for export.
For the last 15 years, Mr. Hanna has led middle-market manufacturing businesses, highlighted by his tenure as President/CEO of Monarch Machine Tool Co. that produced market leading vertical machining centers. His began his career at FMC Corporation (a Chicago based $4.5B diversified manufacturer of equipment, chemicals and government defense systems contractor) as an engineer. He progressed through plant management, global purchasing, and program management for two major military programs. In addition, he managed the merger and acquisition activity at FMC for four years. Mr. Hanna received a B.S. - Chemical Engineering degree from Bucknell University (Lewisburg PA) and a M.B.A. from George Washington University.
Mr. Wei joins the ABP/Pillar organization after serving four years as the Managing Director of SHMECC, a French/Chinese joint venture which manufactures furnaces used in glass tempering and steel coil coating.
Mr. Wei began his career with MECC (China Metallurgical Equipment Corporation) in Beijing as a sales engineer and project manager. In 1999, as Deputy General Manager for sales and project management, he helped form a joint venture named SHMECC between MECC and Stein Heurtey, a French furnace manufacturer. In 2002 he was promoted to Managing Director.
Mr. Wei has a Bachelor of Metallurgical Engineering degree from the Northeastern University of China and an EMBA from the China Europe International Business School.
